We believe the following:

Achieving a carbon-neutral global within the timeframe available to us is impossible without large-scale reforestation and other natural climate solutions.

Reforestation and avoided deforestation are one of the most cost-effective, immediately available solutions to capture and store CO2 and therefore address climate change.

Yet, these solutions are not being prioritized, and there is a continuing imbalance in investment in nature-based solutions, which trails financing for renewable energy and energy efficiency by a factor of 10.

We need to act now if we hope to limit warming to less than 2 degrees Celsius, and natural climate solutions are already widely available.”
